The "DETONATOR" is a Dirty Dan exclusive!

The DETONATOR is built using a Vintage 1940's/50's era Electro-Voice mic shell which is cut and ground, drilled and sanded before being refinished with a heavy chrome plating. I then install a Vintage (1950's/60's, Made in USA) High-Z Shure White Label Controlled Magnetic (CM) element and a special red silk for the grill.

To finish it up, I add a heavy duty volume pot, all new grounded wiring and a classic 5/8" screw-on connector*.
Design Change: I've been able to devise a way to install the vintage 5/8" screw-on connector. This makes for a more compact and tighter assembly than using the original XLR connector and allows me to do away with the bulky XLR adapter.

The mic is assembled and then tested. The finished mic is shown in the pictures above and below. Smaller than the JT30 and Shure 707, it lays in your hands really well.  The 5/8" to 1/4" female adapter is included with the mic at no extra charge. All you have to do is plug in a guitar cable and you're ready to rock!  From players: "I like this mic, It really honks!"

The price of this mic is a real bargain for a custom harmonica mic of this quality and includes the 1/4" adapter.

   SORRY, SOLD OUT !

(This mic is a limited edition original and will only be available until I run out of the vintage EV shells and the special Vintage CM elements.)
